MEET N. I

Fastrising entertainer ‘N.I’ whose real name is Andrew Samson, was born on the September 18th. Hails from Delta state Nigeria and studied mass communication in kwara state polytechnic.

Andrew grew up in the Army barracks illorin, kwara state where he began nurturing his musical talent at the young age of 9 in the Roman Catholic Church.
Andrew was raised by his grandparents, uncles and aunties who were lovers of music and dance, so the culture of both music and dance wasn’t far from him at all. Soon enough he started mimicking late legend Michael Jackson,  Bobby brown and Usher Raymond. He often call them his inspiration, they inspired him a lot to discover the unknown in him.
After his graduation from kwara state polytechnic of ilorin, he was offered a scholarship examination to study any course of his choice by Zenith Media Tech (ZMT), so he chose music.
Then in 2008, he recorded his first two songs by bassrecord titled: “This is what i do” and “Mama pray for me” and in 2010, he met with the Gigatones record boss Ak Walex who gave him a relief record deal to record in his studio for a cheaper rate. It was during this period that he was able to record three (3) songs with him “Oju tila”, “Money” and “Am Back”, Oju tila made N.I a household name in ilorin, as everyone loved playing and listening to the great tune.
Early 2013, N.I opened an Academy called Infinity WMD and was later changed to N.I Musical Dancing Spirit Academy (N.I MDSA). Six months after the publishing of the Academy he also enrolled for the Osun Astonishing battle dance night (ABDN) where he emerged victorious clinching the number one position. And in 2014, he worked with sobi FM 109.5 as a radio presenter.
N.I has worked with numerous acts, both popular and underground, he made a record with YOVI who produced for him a massive sound track called Mama Seke that became a neighborhood anthem for a while. He also worked with monsterbeat, who produced another great son titled “Turn it Up”, his most accepted effort.
N.I also won the award for best performing art at KWACO night award.
In 2015, he relocated permanently to Lagos, where he impressively participated in the ikorodu festival karaoke night & crack the flow. The young man is not relenting and is currently working on his new EP with promising features with Dayoslides, YOVI, conllyxvoice and more.
Aside music and dance,
He is also into acting, script writing music & dancing teaching and acting.
